I have been an Occupational Therapist for 16+ years, and thoroughly enjoy working closely with participants and families to achieve their goals.
I have worked in the public sector here in Melbourne, private sector including TAC, Worksafe and NDIS, as well as 2 years overseas practicing in the UK to expand my skills.
My areas of interest include neurological assessment and rehabilitation, complex seating and all elements of assistive technology and community integration.
I am a neuro-affirming clinician that is heavily invested in teaching Occupational Therapy students and graduate clinicians as well.
I am currently involved in 2 major research projects in collaborations with Latrobe University and Northern Health, and I'm delighted to be involved in several recent publications, adding to the evidence base for our profession.
I have a bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy from Deakin University, and a Masters of Clinical Rehabilitation (Neurological Occupational Therapy) from Flinders University.
I am hoping to commence a PhD in the very near future, and find a great balance between research, education and training and clinical practice, as well as enjoying my family time too.
~ Occupational Therapist
My journey in this field has allowed me to work closely with participants and their families for over 6 years, helping to nurture their development and enhance their daily lives.
My work is focused on supporting children and their families through skill-building for everyday life, including age-appropriate routines, school readiness, and development of gross and fine motor skills. Supporting participants with emotional regulation, sensory processing, and challenging behaviours, toileting and building routines.
Currently, I am in the process of completing my Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC) accreditation or the Possums Program. This is to better support mothers with breastfeeding, infant behaviour, and mental health challenges in the first year of life, enabling me to better support young parents and their newborns.
I am passionate about collaborating with families to create supportive and effective interventions that truly make a difference.
Whether you're navigating the early stages of parenting, preparing for school, or seeking strategies to support your child's growth and development, I’m here to offer guidance, support, and a wealth of experience.
Let’s work together to help your child thrive and make the journey of parenting a little easier and more rewarding.
